This years club championships were finally completed after a very hot but successful Saturday and Sunday.  Ray Medhurst won the Men's Singles beating Keith Woodman 21-20 after fighting back from 14-20 down.  The new Lady's Singles champion is Judy Moore who beat Carole Small.

In the other singles finals there were wins for Brian Booth in the Veterans, Roger Botting in the George Trophy despite a sterling fightback from Ray Purdew who had gained earlier success by beating Peter Knight 21-16 in the handicap.  Irene Douglas won the 100 Up after a very close contest with Terry Wilkins, and in the two wood Bernie Richardson beat John White.

The doubles matches were equally exciting with wins for Keith Woodman and Joe Wilkins in the mutual, Frank Titford and David Reader in the drawn and Frank and Pam Willcox in the mixed.  The introduction of a new members pairs saw success for Colin Anderson and Gloria Tourle over Barrie Conway and Sally Hollingdale.

Club President Derek Nunn hosted the presentation of trophies and the event was hosted by Roy Hockley.  With lunch on the Saturday and a barbecue on the Sunday everyone agreed it was a another successful and enjoyable weekend.  Thanks goes to all who organised and ran the event.
